Print This PostA few weeks ago, Mom asked me to move her sprinkler before I left - I think I was up there for supper. Anyway, I dutifuly did as instructed (being the perfectly obedient son that I always am!) Once the sprinkler was in place, I noticed how it was hitting the pavement beside the flowerbeds, making splashes of all sorts in the puddles forming from the water. It sprang to mind that this was the ideal setting for a few more "water photos" - controlled, predictable water falling in the same location automatically with no intervention required.
So I grabbed my long 70-200mm lens and squatted down 5-10 feet from the edge of the sprinlers reach, and proceeded to grab as many shots of the water as I could. Two hundred frames later, I wrapped up for the day. Out of those 200, the four below are my favorite. I also published 13 of the 200 on my photography website (the four below are in that set) - so when you're done here, feel free to head over there and check the rest out if you feel like it. If not, or if you're short on time, the four below (I think) are the best. Enjoy!
